The microtextures — not masochism — are what explain how the oppressed can take an active role in oppression: the workers of the rich nations actively participate in the exploitation of the Third World, the arming of dictatorships, and the pollution of the atmosphere.

it is much more accurate to understand the money machine as a single body that engulfs the proletariat’s flows of desire between their organs, rather than a separate entity. to simplify things, we can understand this connection between the worker and exploitor to function like a “voluntary” (it’s not, we are engulfed) “social contract” (it’s not, it is a flow of desire), in which the molecular exploitation of their labour is exchanged to be part of the molar exploitation of their global dominance. the proletariat are not tricked into participating in it’s destruction, they are in perfect harmony with it. this seems to be why, now, there is such resonance between the black holes of the nationalist and those of the neoliberal. by enforcing an abstract nameless national facility, an illusion of the molar identity is reinforced and forms a feedback loop, integrating into the money machine. the neoliberal and fascist are not merely “in bed together”, on this strata, they have found each other, molten, and coagulated into one entity.. hardened into a committed romantic relationship. this is true even as The Father abolishes the department of education, it’s not a libidinal bimboification, it’s merely part of the subjected “contract” that keeps the relationship between power and impotence running.

this whole chain and web of power is immersed in a world of mutant flows that eludes them. It is precisely its impotence that makes power so dangerous. The man of power will always want to stop the lines of flight, and to this end to trap and stabilize the mutation machine in the overcoding machine. But he can do so only by creating a void, in other words, by first stabilizing the overcoding machine itself by containing it within the local assemblage charged with effectuating it, in short, by giving the assemblage the dimensions of the machine. This is what takes place in the artificial conditions of totalitarianism or the “closed vessel.”

manufacturing consent is only one menial aspect of the machine that provides conscious justifications for its existence, but the unconscious subjectification of the proletariat had long been stratified. it’s a performance. this is nøt to say the bourgeois does nøt aim to mislead the prolitariat, only that it does nøt matter. that either way it is the same machine and the same flows of desire. so following a single flow’s narrative, it’s manufactured “consents” (Brexit, 9/11, Tiananmen Square…) often overlook the entirety of the machine.

though this totalizing view, that the prolitariet are inseparable from their own exploitation, can make us feel even more helpless, i also maintain that there is no “libidinal band” only a cancerous machine that consumes everything. the jouissance in it’s consumption is a coincidence, or side effect, rather than the instigator. the proletariat do not “hold onto their chains” out of sheer intensity of feeling, b∵c microtexture is nøt skin, and the “chains” are non-linear. the masochism surely exists, but it is not why we are here.

marxists recognize a complexity in their molar interpretations of oppressed and oppressor.., the petty bourgeois., the nomad handyman that can swing towards either team, that exists separate from the wage worker / mass exploiter dynamic. but the reality is this dynamic is interwoven across strata at various points. it is at this intersection where someone can be a freedom fighter in the streets, and a misogynist in the home,. or a wrecker in the sheets and carer in the kitchen. while it seems at first to be contradictions, the multiplicity describes every assemblage functioning by making and breaking connections for wildly different flows (in the soul, the lover, the worker, the state…). it is tempting to say, for example, that America lusts for their own destruction, that they perpetuate and find jouissance in their helplessness.. to follow daddy’s lead, ⅋ut the reality is much different.

fear of ϑ’face: Blancoφobia, Heteroφobia, Suburboφobia, Facialiφobia.

His contributions have been erased.

In an interview, Caroline Polachek speaks of her concept of desire “like electricity, like the physical force that moves us through the world that’s like the force of our will”, and in extension, her sailboat - the one in which she hallucinates Cher’s voice in Dov’è l’amore as a “white sailboat that was chopping through the ocean so purely and victoriously” “I was moved to tears by hearing it and I kind of wanted to try my hand at that kind of quite openhearted throwing everything to the wind”.

Nowhere is this playful skidding off the water more apparent than in Imogen’s earlier work with producer Guy Sigsworth as Frou Frou. On the first track off their album Details you’ll find violins swelling as if they were dolphins emerging up to the surface to jump, alongside the Fruitiger Aeroesque bubbly clarity of sparse piano notes, a bouncing cello, the persistent drum pattern that glues the whole movement together, Imogen’s voice floating and wavering voice above it all. The next song, Breathe In, skids so effortlessly as if it lives in its own geometry and it dances there. A dream-like hypnotism, “now what was the question” as if the process of songwriting is completely natural, unplanned, intuitive, and free flowing. Clashing, weaving, constructing grounds for a release at the climax. Must Be Dreaming riffs off the themes built thus far to build a subconscious whirring and fleeting machine. “Euphoria, I can’t take anymore of ya” on to Psychobabble, which brings us further into the aesthetics of industrialization with booming metallic bells and tip tap tapping. “Make no sudden movements” as a yaylı tambur-like string ensemble makes an unexpected appearance - just another addition to the tense and disorienting atmosphere.

There’s a sense of excitement and surprise. 17 years later the torch is passed onto Caroline Polachek releasing her debut album, Pang.. Aside from the most obvious signs, the breathy hyper-synthetic voice, or the mirroring of the Must Be Dreaming music video for Door, an evasive spirit ignites once more - one that skids off the water in the same way. “Now what is this feeling I know you from long ago?” This time, it’s condensed into its purest form. It’s at its most minimalist, its most intricate, tight and intentional. Ever so delightfully weird and unpredictable, almost absurdist. I just can’t stop laughing about the casual squealing in the background of Ocean of Tears., and then the most out of place synthesised guitar ever. But don’t be fooled, some of the songs are just beautiful beyond words - by the 3rd chorus, door has a 2 minute climax that takes you through various surrealist soundscapes, it morphs until it just turns to glitter at the end. Running running running running.. It’s just full of Moments like that. It’s magic. I’m not even gonna try to talk about So Hot You’re Hurting My Feelings. When I first listened to it out of context with the rest of the album, the subtleties were lost on me,, but within the musical space of the rest of the record you will find a ridiculous amount of tension with each dainty lil pluck, careful to express how much they really care! and I just wanna tell them I love you it’s okay! You don’t have to be afraid anymore.

The following was written under the moniker / alter ego “Ryan Mochi”, an unfinished project started with the elusive “Cameron Mochi”, before he died (in excruciating pain) after a tragic and embarrassing “accident” involving steroid abuse (not limited to the kidnapping of two monkey proportioned puppies named “puppymonkeys”, and the synthesized black hole they produced against the “cycle of aimless drifting, wandering or mundane existence”). It goes without saying that all mental illnesses are neurologically instantiated, but this says nothing about their causation. If it is true, for instance, that depression is constituted by low serotonin levels, what still needs to be explained is why particular individuals have low levels of serotonin. This requires a social and political explanation; and the task of repoliticizing mental illness is an urgent one if the left wants to challenge capitalist realism.

Trauma, especially severe trauma, imposes a worldview tinged with pain, fear, and suspicion: a lens that both distorts and determines our view of how things are. Or it may, through the sheer force of denial, engender a naively rosy perspective that blinds us to real and present dangers—a veneer concealing fears we dare not acknowledge. One may also come to dismiss painful realities by habitually lying to oneself and others.

Candace Pert envisioned the mind as involving the unconscious flow of information “among the cells, organs and systems of the body . . . occurring below the level of awareness.” Thus, she asserted, “the mind as we experience it is immaterial, yet it has a physical substrate, which is both the body and the brain.” By “immaterial” she did not mean the word’s usual connotation of insignificant or irrelevant but—on the contrary—that the mind, unlike the brain, is not a material thing: we cannot get a hold of it, put it in a test tube or petri dish, or even “see” it directly. Its impacts and consequences, however, are material indeed.

What does it mean to love somebody? It is always to seize that person in a mass, extract him or her from a group, however small, in which he or she participates, whether it be through the family only or through something else; then to find that person’s own packs, the multiplicities he or she encloses within himself or herself which may be of an entirely different nature. To join them to mine, to make them penetrate mine, and for me to penetrate the other person’s. Heavenly nuptials, multiplicities of multiplicities. Every love is an exercise in depersonalization on a body without organs yet to be formed, and it is at the highest point of this depersonalization that someone can be named, receives his or her family name or first name, acquires the most intense discernibility in the instantaneous apprehension of the multiplicities belonging to him or her, and to which he or she belongs. A pack of freckles on a face, a pack of boys speaking through the voice of a woman, a clutch of girls in Charlus’s voice, a horde of wolves in somebody’s throat, a multiplicity of anuses in the anus, mouth, or eye one is intent upon. We each go through so many bodies in each other. Albertine is slowly extracted from a group of girls with its own number, organization, code, and hierarchy; and not only is this group or restricted mass suffused by an unconscious, but Albertine has her own multiplicities that the narrator, once he has isolated her, discovers on her body and in her lies — until the end of their love returns her to the indiscernible.

[It] has been among the most widely used symbols throughout history, appearing on medieval coats of arms and modern flags. However, it is most strongly associated with communism and socialism, […] Originating from the Bolshevik Revolution and the Russian Civil War, the red star is thought to represent the five fingers of a worker’s hand, as well as the five continents, which emphasized communism’s worldwide appeal. Despite the collapse of the USSR, the red star remains a ubiquitous symbol on the coats of arms and flags of former socialist entities.

The black flag has been historically associated with anarchism since the late 19th century. This black represents the rejection of all flags, and thus the rejection of nationhood. A red star over a black background emphasizes the shared tenets and ancestry between the two ideologies. For example, this combination is seen on the flag of the Zapatista Army of National Liberation, a far left anarcho-socialist militant group in Mexico.

green_meklar ’s take on the geoist flag

“Do ů see ϑ’cat” has been used as a metaphor for achieving an understanding of Henry George’s economic ideas, particularly ϑ’role of land in ϑ’economy, i.e. ϑ’bigger picture ϑat can’t be unseen once ů finally do. Quote:

“I was one day walking along Kearney Street in San Francisco when I noticed a crowd in front of a show window… I took a glance myself, but I saw only a poor picture of an uninteresting landscape. As I was turning away my eye caught these words underneath the picture: ‘Do you see the cat?’ …I spoke to the crowd. “Gentlemen, I do not see a cat in the picture; is there a cat there?” Someone in the crowd replied, “Naw, there ain’t no cat there. Here’s a crank who says he sees a cat in it, but none of the rest of us can.” Then the crank spoke up. “I tell you,” he said, “there is a cat there. The picture is all cat. What you fellows take for a landscape is nothing more than a cat’s outlines. And you needn’t call a man a crank either because he can see more with his eyes than you can with yours.”

& from “The Cat and Dick Twittingham”

“Ye see, young fellow,” said the innkeeper, “after the Conquest the land was given to a handful of the bastard’s principal knights who kept the people in what amounted to slavery, forced them to work for nothing on the lord’s land and made them pay rent.

But God never intended the land to be in private hands. In Anglo Saxon times we were independent Freemen who worked the land for ourselves and kept the produce. It be society that creates the value in land, and that value should rightly be returned to the community so it can grow and improve with everybody sharing the benefits. Today that value is taken — nay, stolen — by the descendents of the Norman Lords and Barons. They claim they own the land and this gives them the power to demand rent from the butcher, the baker, the candlestick maker and the innkeeper, extracting the most they can get to leave their tenants with a bare living. And the threat of instant eviction if they are so much as a day behind with the payment. Trouble is that folks have become so oppressed that they suffer the burdens but don’t see the chains. You mark my words, young lad, one day there will be a revolt and the peasants will rise up and free themselves from oppression.”

A cat on ϑ’flag is̄̄ also reminiscent of one of my favorites of all time, ϑ’Black Panther Party’s flag. Θey honestly just went so hard like all ϑ’time it was crazy and ϑeir various forms of praxis have been a source of endless inspiration for me and daydreaming Marxist-Leninists everywhere.

ů can ϑink of ϑis as a Patɕh Ûpdate of 𖡉bug fixes, improvements &cᵆᵗᵉʳᵃ. ï tryજ⁀➴to be consistent ⅋ut ϑere’ˢ nø strict right or wrøŋ way to use Neogliʃh, it’ˢ just anoϑer mode of creative expreſsion on ϑ’internet. here’ʳᵉ a few ideological quirks ï personally adhere to:

LOGOGRAΦY

as someone w/ an Asian background, a mountiŋ knowledge of 漢字, & an abuser of kaomoji, ï find profound beautεїз✧ in logograφy., naturally, ï started l𓏗𓏗kiŋ for ways to briŋ ϑ’same magic to Neogliʃh in ways ϑat do nøt interfere w/ ϑ’legibility of ϑ’word itself. ů may’ᵛᵉ spott’d some examples already. here’ʳᵉ just a few examples:

𖹭 for l𖹭ve — can be used anywhere as a tonal marker, a replacement for “o”. ïve found it useful to soften ϑ’blow of dry boring texts like “oh ok”→ “𖹭h 𖹭k”

ɩ̈ for ϑ’self — ï gave him eyes! used as a distinct “I”, making apostrophes in “I’m” or “I’ve” &cᷔ obsolete→ “ïm” & “ïve”

ᴜ̊ for you — l𓏗𓏗ks like a dude, o beiŋ ϑ’head. more on it bel̬ow…

✧ & εĭз for beautεĭз✧ — ϑey can eiϑer be used togeϑer or separately. ϑ’spark “✧” can be used in place of ϑ’shortening of a common word used to exaggerate, like w/ “pretty” or “very” → “p✧” & “v✧”, while ϑ’butterflεĭз resembles an “ei” or “ie” so it can be used in place of words ϑat end in “y” like w/ “fairy” → “færiεĭз” (dervived from ϑ’Early Modern Engliʃh spelling of færie) .

𓏗𓏗 for l𓏗𓏗kiŋ — self explanatory. can’t really ϑink of anoϑer word to do w/ sight w/ a double o.

⅋ for ⅋ᵘᵗ(but)— ϑ’ampersand is used to denote additional information & its use upside down symbolises ϑ’counter point beiŋ made. formatted with small “ut” makes “⅋” look more like a “b”

ø for nø — anoϑer replacement for o ϑat denotes a negative value, rejection, &cᷔ.

ô for ûp & do̬wn— ϑ’circumflex accent can be used to logograφically point. ϑis might be annoyiŋ to ϑ’French, who use it to denote a ɕhange in pronounciation ⅋ut φuck ‘em. ϑey can be also represent a rôof for hoûse or hôtel whiɕh ironically is ϑ’way ϑ’french spell it anyway. w/ bel̬ow ů can add it to ϑ’l making it l𓏗𓏗k like an arrow➴

¿ for w¿at — denotes a question for w¿ats, w¿ys, w¿eres & so on. ϑ’pronunciation of ϑ’Hs have been mostly phased out (unless ů’re Irish or Scottish) ů can get away w/ replacing ϑ’silent H w/ a tonal marker. it ʃhůldn’ᵗ be used in contexts where ϑ’word isn’t beiŋ used to ask a question, like ϑ’ “where” in ϑis sentence. ϑis one’s still in beta & ïm nøt sure if ï like it or nøt yet.

or ꝡ ŵ w̃ for why what when

Ꝭ for iꝬ — useful old latin ligature of “IS” ϑat can be used iṋ place of ‘s

diacritic markers can generally be used to make simple emojis on tôp of text, like: c̥̥̥̥̆ryiŋ̥̥̥̥̆, ṡȃḋ, ϑa̍ňk̍s, ẘ0ẘ, t̋e̊ěhe̊e̋ೀ, &c as well as some simple numeric 漢字 like: on̅e tw̅̅o ϑre̅̅̅e (based on 一二三)

ϑese’re just a few ϑat’ve môre or leẞ stuck for now. playiŋ around & comiŋ ûp w/ ůr own can be really rewardiŋ.

HISTORY

while many rightfully argue modern Engliʃh’s spelliŋ conventions stick to̊ close to tradition, ï feel it wůld be easier to lean into it, usiŋ old spelliŋs ϑat make use of archaic letters to specify its origins &cᵆᵗᵉʳᵃ, raϑer ϑan tryiŋજ⁀➴ to standardize a new, more phonetically accurate mode of spelliŋ. ïm referring particularly to Latin æ & œ ϑat’ᵛᵉ largely been removed (in different ways) from Britiʃh & American Engliʃh, & French accent markers. apart from words like færiεїз✧ or &cᵆᵗᵉʳᵃ (et cetera) ϑat ï mentioned earlier / have been usiŋ, oϑer examples include

œstrogen (latin)

archæology (latin)

algæ (latin, ï mean jee ï was seriously baffled by ϑ’spelling / proper pronunciation of ϑis one up till ï realized ϑ’ae at ϑ’end is supposed to be an æ. )

poétique / poétic (french)

hôtel (french)

some words (like déjà vu & café) already follow ϑis principle.

READABILITY (𖡉BUG FIX)

efforts to streamline “sh” “ch” “ou” “oo” &c into one character was met w/ a lot of confusion, it was counter-intuitive to expect oϑers to understand letters from foreign alφabets. so now ϑere’ˢ “ʃh” & “ɕh”. it’ˢ a lot truer to ϑ’IPA whilst beiŋ really simple to figure øut. plus ï just really like ϑ’way loŋ S looks (ſ/ʃ) . maybe one day ïll be able to remove ϑ’Hs. as for “ou”, ïve simply taken a trick out ϑ’Spaniards bꝏk (refering to ϑ’eñe, whiɕh ironically ïve ɕhosen to abandon usiŋ) & put ϑ’extra o abôve ϑ’U, creating “ů”. ï ϑink it works quite well & seemleẞly in words like “cůld” & “wůld” or “bůrgeoisie” ⅋ut leẞ well in words w/ a bigger emphasis on ϑ’O rather ϑan ϑ’U like “abůt” (about) or “clůd” (cloud) & “ůt” (øut) & especially “růnd” (round) where ϑ’O is ironically ϑ’roundest part of ϑ’word. ï usually just ɕhoose to opt øut of using it in words like ϑat. ï also use it quite often nowadays as a standalone to replace “you” as “ᴜ̊” because it’ˢ more readable & familar to do it ϑat way ϑen to spell it like “yů”, & it resembles a person pictographically. ï just worry it comes across as informal. it’ˢ a vibe ï guess. a similar ϑiŋ is sometimes done with oo → o̊ ⅋ut it oftentimes døesn’ᵗ come øut particularly readable. ïm experimenting w/ ϑ’ligature “ꝏ” or “ҩ” instead ⅋ut it seems kinda pointleẞ.

“ϑ” stuck around p✧ well, ïd guess its ϑanks to its resemblance to a cursive “d”, whiɕh eiϑer reminds people of AAVE used on ϑ’internet (like “who dis” vs “who ϑis” &c) or ϑ’vague use of “d” over “th” in Europe (like ϑ’German “danke” vs “ϑanks”) . ïve also experimented w/ different forms of it like “δ” (delta iꝬ͇nt̽ too far from a theta & iꝬ͇ actually quite intuitive to read, ⅋ut nøt as muɕh as cursive theta ɩ̈ ϑink (δink) because it can be mistaken for an S) or “ɘ” / “ɵ” (its written similarly as ϑ but fits in better w/ oϑer (oɘer / oɵer) lowercased letters, ⅋ut its resemblance to an e supersedes its resemblance to a Θ and Θ just l𓏗𓏗ks too muɕh like an O anyway), or “ð” whiɕh ï ϑink (ðink) might still be on ϑ’table ⅋ut it might lꙭk too much like a d which can be quite confusing (like with death it’s deaϑ vs deað, and i always intuitively incorrectly read ϑ’on̅e w/ ϑ’ð as “dead”) . “φ” seemed to do 𖹭k as well, maybe because it døesn’ᵗ l𓏗𓏗k to̊ far off from “ph”. some times ï use it in place of “f” as well, mostly for profanity (φuck, &c) .

AUTOHOTKEY

last time ï wrote of Neogliʃh ï talked about typiŋ all of ϑis out in Gboard, while ï still prefer ϑat way of typiŋ Kaomogliʃh, ïve come up wiϑ a new way of doiŋ so on PC usiŋ Autohotkey. itꝬ a lil janky to type with because for ϑ’keys used, ϑ’character will only come out after ϑ’key has been lift’d.

It works by treatiŋ ϑ’first letter as a modifier key. so with “th” to “ϑ”, ᴜ̊ would hold T and ϑen press H.

ϑ’code below also includes “ph” to “φ”, “bt” to “⅋”, “ ‘s ” to “Ꝭ”, “ae” to “æ”, “wy” to “ꝡ”, “sz” to “ẞ”, “yu” to “ᴜ̊”, “oe” to “œ”, “sh” to “ʃh”, “ch” to “ɕh”, “ng” to “ŋ”, “ i’ ” to “ï” and “ed” to “ ‘d ”. it also checks if ctrl, shift, alt, or ϑ’windows key iꝬ press’d to make sure it doesn’t bug out shortcuts.

ï know itꝬ meẞy ⅋ ïon rly feel like fixiŋ it… sozzy.
